Freedom from Deep-Level Discouraging Voices

April 9th, 2011 by rob white

How are you to enter a new world of mental harmony with the Four Interactive Forces of Creation if you don’t first let go of mental voices that gainsay you?

The Four Interactive Forces are: Weak Nuclear Interaction … Strong Nuclear Interaction … Gravity … and … Electromagnetism. Electromagnetism is the one getting ‘big play’ these days (called Law of Attraction). I mention these again for those of you who missed last weeks blog.

Do you know that you inherited a ‘false self’. This ‘false self’ is a consequence of ‘the sins of the father that are handed down to the seventh generation’. Thus, this ‘false self’, is an ‘inherited self’ … and it consists of 60,000 NO’s (that you heard between age two and six). Therefore this ‘false self’ can also be called a ‘thought-self’ (because it consists of thoughts … and if the thoughts go – it goes). Even though it is not real … it can feeeeel damn real!

Do you really think you are the ‘self’ that your deep-level thinking accepts as true? Do you really think you are the ‘false self’ that suffers? Please don’t tell me that you don’t suffer to some extent in some domain of your life … I do … almost everyone, but a very rare few, suffers to some greater or lesser extent.

When you learn how you unknowingly victimize yourself with deep-level thoughts, you can then clean things up and truly tie into the Four Interactive Forces of discreation and creation so they work marvelously for you. This means that you can change your world when you drop the ‘false self’.

The Four Forces have no conscience. They have no judgments. They just exist – always working to support your deep-level thinking. Therefore, it’s time to begin making…

Marvelous Denials.

When you Marvelously Deny a long lingering thought-voice that speaks of lack, you create room for declaring the truth. Nature hates a vacuum and works with you. It is a very powerful ‘back-door method’ of letting go of the inherited ‘false self’ that has a negative impact on you.

Only when you call upon Weak Nuclear Interaction to move in and rid you of mental pain forever – can true happiness exist for you (or me). Mohammed did it. Krishna did it. Abraham did it. Moses did it. Jesus did it. Are they human beings or super-human beings (better than you and me?) I believe they are genuine human beings like you and me. Perhaps I will not master the ‘Marvelous Denial Method’ as did they, but I can certainly become much better at it than I am right now.

I will go into detail on the Marvelous Denial Method in future blogs. You are skilled at mimicking the scolding voices that came with the 60,000 NO’s. We’ll look deeper into this later.

Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, you are constantly bombarded by deep-level thoughts that have misleading and impoverished points of view. Yes, you are! Me too? If I wasn’t – then my life would be so perfect that I could say “fish,” and plenty of fish would ‘fall out’ in an instant (so that I may feed the masses of hungry folks).

There are good, hard working quantum physicists who believe that a thought can manifest into a thing in an instant if other contrasting thoughts did not show up to get in the way. I believe that, too. Do you?

Yes, I am taking you out on a limb with this blog. It is a spiritual blog. It is a practical blog. If it ain’t practical – it ain’t spiritual! Spiritual wisdom is practical common sense – they’re inseparable!

It is extremely important for you to recognize the following truth: The deep-level thought-voices that convince you of your inadequacy (in some domains of life), are not you! They were installed during the childhood years of 60,000 NO’s … and now they speak through your psychic system. Yes they do … like a radio station.

When you Marvelously Deny (joyously deny … exactingly deny) these discouraging thought-voices … when you no longer accept them as part of your original nature – you call upon Weak Nuclear Interaction to sweep in and wipe them out.

You know that the radio voices you hear on the car radio, while commuting to work, are not you – don’t you? You know how to turn down the radio if you don’t like what the voices are saying. You are now learning how to turn down the volume on those deep-thought voices that discourage you.

You are learning how to make room for spiritual wisdom (practical common sense). I hope you are nodding in agreement? Dismissal of the dark makes room for the light! My new book goes into complete detail (coming soon) – I can only offer so much in a blog.

More to come … please comment … you teach others with your input … and I expand on the blog with my comments to your comments. What a great device for learning the truth (which will set you and me free of the harmful thought-voices).

  1. Kara says:

Rob this is soooo cool. I love it. I’m going to Marvelously Deny all my self doubt ASAP. I am soo sick of the doubt that washes over me whenever I my dreams are challenged just a little bit. It is like just a little doubt washes away a whole weeks worth of positive progress. I just have to keep reminding myself that the doubt is not me… my mantra for the week will be “throw out the doubt, throw out the doubt!” :) Thanks for this XO.

    • rob says:

Now, you are ready to throw out the regime of the Counterfeit-Self, when you chant “throw out the doubt”, kara. All that is left, when you throw out the doubt, is the imperishable-self. Now you’re talking! Weak Nuclear Interaction will come in and throw out the doubt when you chant from the imperishable-self (how can it touch that part of you – it’s imperishable!)

  2. Rob,

For the first 45 years of my life (I’m 48 now), I allowed the self-limiting tapes to play in my head telling me I was broken, damaged and not enough.

Today, I’m learning to replace those tapes with a new message – the truth. The truth tells me that I am enough because He says that I am enough.

Freedom from self-critical thinking feels good!

    Alex

    • rob says:

The truth reveals to you, Alex, that you are a brother of Divine Nature – the imperishable force that can never be wiped out by Weak Nuclear Interaction (although it can be buried deep under a haystack of NO’s). When you collect the keys to extinguishing the Counterfeit-Self and the keys to working with all Four Interactive Forces, you unlock every mystery of ‘sweet living’ that now hides from you. Very few go all the way (Jesus, Confucius and the likes), but it is still bliss if we are always advancing toward this ultimate condition. blessings

  3. Hi Rob,
I “woke up” about 10 years ago and realized that I was not all the things that had been programmed into me since childhood. I’ve been consciously working on “denying those voices” since. I’m getting closer to being free of them all together each day.

I believe the more you do the things you thought you were incapable of – the more you weaken and eventually snuff out those voices all together.

Amen to freedom from Deep-Level Discouraging Voices keeping stuck in old patterns!

    • rob says:

YES, Angela, the more you ‘act as though those howling voices ain’t so’, the freer you are of them. To be completely free is to be fully realized. This is a rarity (Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha …) I will be very content to be 80% free! The free-er you are, the more effective you are with the Four Interactive Forces of Creation! blessings

  4. Rus says:

Hey Rob, I’m lucky that I’ve always had an independent streak in me and have made being a non-conformist a part of who I am. When I really started to wake up I realized this was just a persona I created that was kind of limiting me in some ways.( That’s why I always check what’s going on here!) I’ve marvelously denied some of the bull shite the world wants me to take on, BUT I always struggle with how best to market my business to the world.

    • rob says:

Freeing oneself of the ‘inherited self’ is always a process of purging oneself of wrong thinking (about oneself), Rus. Now that’s a mouthful. Believing we are ‘independent’ can be part of the ‘inherited self’s beliefs’ (and maybe not). The ‘inherited self’ is very clever. It will convince you that you are something that you really are not. blessings

  5. Jk Allen says:

    Hi Rob,
This was deep! One part I just have to ask about is the part regarding the false self being handed down by the father to the seventh generation? First time hearing that, so I’m just a little curious to hear more.

One thing I love about life is that nothing is final as long as we’re a live. We have the ability to pick and choose whatever direction we want to go. EVERY SINGLE answer is out there…but we have to be willing to seek to find it. And when we find it, we have to be willing to act upon it and make that truth take it’s course. That’s why, I believe that it’s crucial for us to be students and learn from the experiences of ourselves and others.

Another thing that fascinates me is that at the core, everything is really simple. We make things complex, but once we truly understand it, we realize how simple just about everything is.

The Marvelous Denials makes good sense. Deny the discouraging thoughts and allow them to be wiped out totally.

Very good stuff Rob. I’m looking forward to learning more on this topic. This is stuff I’ve never seen prior to my introduction here…which is normally the case for me!

Thank you for sharing this. It’s enlightening and each key (post) unlocks something new within me.
Thank you Rob! Have a great week.

    • rob says:

Item # 1: Your identity runs deep, Jk. You would be startled if you were able to sit with your great, great, great, great, great grandfather and listen to him espouse his philosophy! You would be amazed at what he told you he believed about himself (that you now believe about yourself – not all good things). Thus, the sins are passed down from generation to generation (sins – simply being wrong thinking about oneself that is passed down from generation to generation). Stop – change start. Item # 2: Making positive affirmations without making Marvelous Denials first, Jk, is a total waste of time. You must cleanse your mind of that which is not true, if you intend to allow the truth to enter and take root. Until one takes inventory of his defective thinking, and denies it prominence in his consciousness – there is no room for the truth to sink in. For example – I once believed I was too stupid to be smart … and when the voice that reminded me of this foolish notion would speak to me, it would play mental movies of past stupid things I did. It seemed pretty convincing to me! It took me a few months to Marvelously Deny this voice and its mental movies prominence in my consciousness. WOW, what a great choice I made when I called on that MD! blessings

  6. Roger Pascal says:

Hi Rob, This is huge. Understanding that we inherit the False Self makes me think of inheriting a dilapidated old house from a relative. A real fixer upper. The property has a lot of value and but requires a ton of work. In my case I may need to raze the whole thing and start over. ha ha. At the same time the house is not ME just something I have to work on. It really makes things seem more managable and hopeful.

    • rob says:

Nice one, Roger … I love the metaphor. Yes, the old house that you live in (that has been in the family for one hundred and fifty years) need renovation! NICE! blessings

  7. John Sherry says:

It’s quite strange Rob that for years I listened to the thought voices in my head and found myself saying to myself, ‘They’re not mine’ but did little about it. It wasn’t until these voices and their advice and teaching got me into trouble that I decided to speak up and to myself. The results have been astounding. It’s like having two ‘yous’ – a good one in one ear and a bad one on the other. You know which one is the real you – it’s simply a matter of listening and feeling. So, yes, have a kind word for yourself and then a positive one, then an empowering one, then a go-get-em one and keep the language loud and proud. Then your life will be your voice. Amen!

    • rob says:

YES, John … there are two you’s = an authentic one and a counterfeit one. Which ‘YOU’ do you want running the show? One is infinitely unique and knows how to call upon the Interactive Forces of Creation to work with you. the other one is fraught with thoughts of fear and doubt and believes that you are here to simply cope and survive. Again, I ask; which ‘YOU’ do you want running your life? To give it prominence in your life – you must call an MD (Marvelous Denial of the other one). Thank you

  8. J.D. Meier says:

    > There are good, hard working quantum physicists who believe that a thought can manifest into a thing in an instant if other contrasting thoughts did not show up to get in the way.

That’s a powerful concept. It’s got me thinking.

    • rob says:

When Jesus thought ‘bread’, J.D. … he only thought ‘bread’ (not one other thought occupied his consciousness at the time) … and bread fell out of nowhere. There is quantum theory alive today that says this kind of ‘purity of thought’ could rearrange the quarks and strings of atoms and produce bread in an instant. When science began, one of its objective was to prove the stories of Jesus (and the likes) were untrue. Science is now beginning to suspect they may be true. Einstein at age 26 said, “I am a scientist – of course I don’t believe in God.” Einstein at age 56 said, “I am a scientist – of course I believe in God.” Einstein went on to say, “We are all Gods, ignorant of the fact.” blessings

  9. Dia says:

    Hi Rob,

This is great! Once we become aware of what these negative false statements are and start working on denying them, then we can start seeing good and positive results. To overcome doubt, this also requires faith as without faith, there will be some kind of doubt. How long do you think it takes for us Rob to overcome this “false self?” You mentioned in one of your previous posts that it doesn’t take years, so perhaps a few months?

I also will be content if I get to be 80% free. As many studies that almost 80% of people think is negative, so if we reverse this to 80% to make it positive instead, then I believe we would be on the right path.

As always, very powerful post Rob and I look forward for your next post. Thanks for sharing

    • rob says:

I love your sincere inquiry, Dia. I think it takes a year or two to 80% extinguish the False-Self. We must first take inventory of the pile of NO’s that the False-Self uses to command our mind, and then call an MD (Marvelous Denial). The more we do it, the easier it gets. The more we do it, the quicker our subconscious reveals them to us. 80% freedom from the False-Self is a fabulous life. 100% freedom is being a Buddha or Jesus – few make it all the way. blessings

  10. Frank says:

    Rob,

Who knew that I was Marvelously denying so much in my very own life. It all started with the “no’s” and has expanded into so many other areas in my own developement. Discouraging voices really do run deep. Now I know where that thoughts that manifest come from and work hardly to free myself from them.

    • rob says:

The Authentic-Self speaks to you, Frank. It is right now saying, “Sometimes you do not even know that I exist. Likewise, there are times that you do not know that I am imperishable, that no negative circumstance of any nature ever disturbs me. No, you do not know this entirely yet, but I speak to you right now so that you may notice the signs when they appear.” Print this out and take it with you, Frank. Read it several times every day for a week. blessings

  11. Cool, Thanks Rob for bringing this to everyones attention. Those early NO’s can really stop us in our tracks if we don’t learn to relearn. Sometimes I see these young mothers and fathers talking to the children and I want to say, Stop, do you have any idea what you are teaching them?” Parents do the best job they can when we are little, but no one is perfect, other then Jesus, so we have to use him as our example. When it comes to ” spiritual wisdom (practical common sense)” I call this my sixth sense. We all have it, but if we don’t use it we can lose it.

thanks for the wonderful words of wisdom Rob.

    • rob says:

Nice noticement, Debbie – spiritual wisdom (practical common sense) is part of your sixth sense! When you know how to use this noticement in your daily affairs, Debbie, it opens the door to all the powers in heaven and on earth … and it opens the door to the Four Interactive Forces of discreation and creation. blessings.

  12. Alan007 says:

Yeah, I’m with Dia. How long is this supposed to take? Sometimes I feel like my life is going to change overnight and other times I get depressed because it seems like nothing is changing. I guess a year ain’t so bad. I’m starting to hear all those discouraging voices loud and clear but I don’t feel like I can do anything about it. It’s like I hear all the voices but they are too strong to just shut up… then I find myself arguing with myself… its crazy!

    • rob says:

When we argue with ourselves- Alan – that’s our several identities duking it our for supreme position! It seems we are all a bit insane! Ha Ha blessings

  13. Rob,

This is so true, we have heard so many negative messages in our childhood and adult life, we can still hear it and self sabotage our current living. Undoing slowly but surely in small way to one way to undo the damage! I like your practical and spiritual message!

    Preeti

    • rob says:

When a head-voice stirs up memories of unpleasant past events, it is the Counterfeit-Self trying to discourage the spiritual seeker, Preeti. BEWARE! blessings

  14. Rob says:

    Hey Rob,

A lot to ponder. I especially enjoyed the comment by John Sherry and your reply. I will also posit that without action, these are barren thoughts. We must put this into action in order to reap what awaits. Most times it is right around the corner. It is within our reach but unbeknownst to us. We must equip ourselves with this tool and put it into use in a practical way. The growth is then beginning and there is conquering to do!

    Live it LOUD!

    • rob says:

Indeed, when condition are ripe (in the mind), we must act in ways to support our new illuminations, Rob. A criminal thought-voice torments us by telling us that conditions are never right, “Wait, wait, procrastinate!” blessings

  15. Carol Anne says:

Hi Rob. This is really powerful. I find it gets easier to make “marvelous denials” when I examine the root of these negative voices. Understanding where our parents came from and why they taught us what they did is a healthy undertaking. I’ve had to realize they did what they did out of love to protect me. In some ways the voices imposed limits on me. For the longest time I just assumed I was stuck with those limits, even moving away couldn’t get rid of the voices. Understanding that there was only love behind those voices made it possible to choose a new way of thinking that works for me AND not feel guilty about it!

    • rob says:

We assume that we are stuck with ‘our supposed limits’, Carol Anne, when wrong thought-voices promise us they’ll help us get by in life (but ultimately leave us with a loss). Ponder that. blessings

  16. Stuart says:

It’s such a shame when we come across people who have freely chosen to be miserable in life, because they listened to their discouraging voices of doom and gloom. And I say ‘freely’, because it’s the truth.

We all have freedom to choose what we want, be what we want, do what we want. What we want is the name of the game, but when discouraging voices come into play, we no longer have our best interests in mind. We suddenly feel we’re not good enough, that we don’t deserve riches and happiness. We choose to deny ourselves.

Rob, I recommend checking out Dale Carnegie’s book, “How To Stop Worrying And Start Living”. Everyone knows his “Win Friends And Influence People”, but he produced other astonishing books that are worth their weight in gold. “Stop Worrying” is a gem, and I recommend it to anyone who’s interested in the kind of stuff that you and I teach :-)

    • rob says:

It is my free choice to re-think what I think about, Stuart; I agree. As a child, I was bombarded with 60,000 NO’s, and I was too naive to understand that I could reject them. Therefore, I do not think that I had ‘free choice’ back then. By the time I was a young adult, I had invented a fully blossomed imaginary identity to cope with life, and I was ignorant of the fact that I had another choice. My ignorance stopped me from having free choice to change drop the invented self for the Authentic-Me. I have awakened my awareness to the truth since then, AND NOW I HAVE FREE CHOICE TO THINK AND ACT AS I CHOOSE (although sometimes I still get caught in old patterns and don’t feel like I have free choice). My greatest moments in life are when I feel the pulsing of ‘free choice’ coursing through my veins (even though I know it is always possible – I still don’t always feel it). Being human is a delicate matter. blessings

  17. John says:

I don’t know if I’ll ever be free of the discouraging voice but I do think I’m better off than most. Lately I’ve been questioning societal mores and rejecting what is expected of someone in my position and place. It is at the same time freeing and scary. Sometimes I feel guilty because people expect you to be and do certain things and I don’t want people to feel rejected when I choose a new path. It’s like the discouraging voices pop up to keep everything status quo. My goal is to increase my freedom just a teeny, tiny bit everyday.

    • rob says:

It is always healthy to question the ‘world voice’ (societal mores) … clearly our collective consciousness has made a mess of the matter – just look at the problems in the world today! blessings

  18. Rob,
What I love about your writing is that you always go after the core of human problems…the stuff that goes on in our head.

    Like when you said:
“Whether you are consciously aware of it or not, you are constantly bombarded by deep-level thoughts that have misleading and impoverished points of view.”
You know, I believe that and especially love the work “impoverished”.

We do limit ourselves don’t we, and keep ourselves from reaching our potential? I believe, like you, that we have the power to change that!
    Great post!

    • rob says:

When we seek wisdom, we are never expelled for stupidity. We are simply trying to get to the truth of the matter – aren’t we, Jason. Blessings

  19. SaltySailorMan says:

Practical and spiritual really sums it up for me. When I can actually identify specific voices that limit me to this day it is like a bucket of water in the face. To this day I can still hear the voices of school teachers and parents that convinced me this is the way it is. When it comes to messages from the mainstream media etc. I have taught myself to be wary of the dubious indoctrination. BUT, when it comes to those old voices from childhood I can still accept them as the truth. I begin to see the insanity and weary of this motif.

    • rob says:

The voices of childhood never entirely leave, Salty. Our job is to advance in spite of them. We can acquire many great ideas but remain bewildered if we allow old voices to interfere. blessings

  20. GeorgieBoy 1969 says:

“You are skilled at mimicking the scolding voices that came with the 60,000 NO’s.” How true. As a parent I found myself instilling the same rules and values that were taught to me by my parents. I never really considered where these ideas came from but just assumed they were right. Had I been taught something else I simply would have taught my kids something else. I guess it really is all quite arbitrary in the end.

  21. Rob: Great post and advice as usual. I really appreciated what you said about being aware of the deep level thoughts that are working against you. You really do have to be aware of them so that you can clean them up as you suggested. It is amazing how much they can really hold you back and work against you. Great post.

    • rob says:

A snail walking the seashore beach cannot see the immensity of the ocean, Sibyl. You are NOT A SNAIL! You are proving this to yourself! blessings.

  22. Alicia says:

Hi Rob, Indeed suffering is part of life. Sweet sorrow. We have to see the beauty in our suffering so we can touch it deeply and begin to heal. For the longest time I held on to so much anger and resentment at the world but pretended everything was blissful. I was giving fuel to my ‘false-self’ by pretending it was not there. I denied the voices were even there. Only when I was able to acknowledge them could I begin to Marvelously Deny them any more energy to cause suffering.

  23. Lisa H. says:

    Hi Rob,
This article really made me think. I loved what you said about being constantly bombarded by deep-level thoughts that have misleading and impoverished points of view. This is something that I am working to rid myself of. Sometimes the thoughts come so fast and furious, it feels like I cant get from under them. What always works for me is to go to a quiet place, take out a notebook and pen and write out what is on my mind. Somehow, this always brings me back to who I am. :-)

    • rob says:

A thirsty eagle flying toward a river stream, remains in flight … paying no attention to the cawing crow that clings to the limb. You have that determination, Lisa. blessings

  24. Hi Rob,
It’s always a pleasure to stop by and hear such beautiful wisdom. I also believe that “a thought can manifest into a thing in an instant if other contrasting thoughts did not show up to get in the way.” It’s all about being clear with our intentions and desires as we remove the negative self-talk. I’ve noticed that when I’m really clear, things happen in miraculous ways. The challenging part is getting really clear with our thoughts. :)
Thanks for this wonderful reminder on letting go of our ‘false self.’ Loving blessings!

    • rob says:

A thought that is not countermanded by an opposite thought – immediately manifests as a thing. Jesus did it with bread and wine. Some quantum physicists believe it is possible to effect atoms at the quarks and strings level with pure thoughts. They say that is Jesus could think ‘bread’ … and only ‘bread’ … then bread would fall out of nowhere. (I believe it, but I cannot do it) I am content with thinking a thought and nurturing it by climbing it up the Thinking Ladder and the Doing Ladder until my IDEAL becomes REAL! It takes me longer than a nano-second. Blessings, Andrea

  25. Angry Ramone says:

Do we ever completely deny these voices?? Quite frankly, it seems hopeless that I’ll ever be free of anger. I have good days and bad days. Just when I think I have myself figured out something triggers me and I fly into a rage or make impulsive decisions. Maybe the best I can hope for is that in the end, I can be a little less the misanthrope I was in the beginning… and the middle.

    • rob says:

The voices will probably be with you in some form (forever), but like elevator music – you can choose to listen or just dismiss it, Ramone. You are progressing. Your inquiries show it. blessings

  26. Chris Barba says:

    Another great post Rob!

We have these thoughts in our head, these files on everything in our life. Money, success, friends, jobs, abilities, environment, technology, accomplishments, fulfillment, the list goes on and so our perspective on each of these things, our files, are in essence what we draw conclusions from.

They are the lens we look life through and what we perceive to be the truth. And so those ominous thoughts of doubt and inadequacy, they’re just files, a possible view, a creation in our mind that we have made up.

“Dismal of the dark makes room for the light.” And we control the light switch!

    Have a good weekend Rob.

    Cheers!

    • rob says:

It’s easy for me to say, “I control the light switch”. There is more to it to actually flip the light switch in the upward position! This is what I have found: self-awareness of self-weakness (a false state of mind) supplies the self-confidence one needs to actually reach for the switch and flip it up. Millions say, “Think positively.” Only one thousand actually do what it takes to do that. Blessings.

  27. Magic Marc says:

Yo ROB! THis SHIZ be DEEEP! I don’t have hardly any discouraging voices but just the OPPOSITE. My voices to tell me to push HIGHER and FARTHER than the rest. I’m the cream of the crop I rise to the toP!!! HAHHA :) . My only problem is I’m so High ENERGy and saying HELL YEAH to life I get in over my head. MY pops was the same way. He gave me that. But at the end of the day I’ll take regretting something I did than something I didnt do. I just gotta keep on pushing and if I make a mistake OH WELL!!! HOlla. PEace out.

  28. rob says:

Good news always comes from the cosmic world, Magic …. you seem to live there! blessings

  29. Richard Roma says:

I think the important thing to keep in mind is when you say “in some domain of life.” Something I’ve come to realize that everybody needs improvement in some area of their lives. I have a friend that is terrible with money but has so many other awesome qualities. He loves nothing more than to volunteer for things like the Red Cross… this was (and still is) the last thing I’d want to do with my time. So just as I’m good in the money area, I need to improve in the community sense. I think the same thing is true of our heroes. I love Donald Trump, but who’s to say he does not need to “Marvelously Deny” voices that make him a lousy parent (or whatever the case may be.) Pobody’s Nerfect — I mean Nobody’s Perfect haha
