ROAR-ing Brings Certainty

March 26th, 2011 by rob white

Anyone can believe in himself with all of his assumed imperfections; the purpose of ROAR-ing is to believe in oneself as whole and complete right now. It’s easy to feel certain that you can do the things you already know you can do; the purpose of ROAR-ing is to feel certain about doing things that take you beyond your current range of accomplishments.

Perhaps you’ve felt certain that you can get by in life in spite of your limitations and lack of talent (limit and lack is a lie). When doing this, you use the feeling of certainty to bring upon yourself the things you most fear! Since you’ve used the feeling of certainty many times to bring dreadful imaginings upon yourself, you already have references to prove your power to create. Now it’s time to make a 180 and turn your attitude around; it’s time to give your feeling of certainty to expressing your unlimited potential and hidden talents.

You are always expressing yourself at the level of achievement that your feeling of certainty allows. Again, it’s not necessary that you learn how to feel certain, but it is important that you learn how to put first things first – make it your first priority to feel certain about your infinitely unique nature. By the Process of ROAR-ing you direct your mind toward this priority. By doing this, you establish yourself as the master of your fate.

Here is a brief sketch of the Four Vital Step Process of R.O.A.R.

R = Recognize yourself as an infinitely unique being with unlimited potential.

O = Organize your inward self-talk to support free expression of your uniqueness.

A = Absorb your new self-talk deep into the heart-mind where your emotions dwell.

R = Realize the truth about the remarkable you by expressing it in the world.

There is much more to come about R.O.A.R. Be willing to walk with me; I will show you how to raise your consciousness so you can see the truth about yourself. I will show you what lies deep inside of you so that it may shine through all of the darkness that your Counterfeit-Self has caused. Don’t assume you already know; I have been struck by the truth and am willing to share it with you.

I shall reveal the whole truth about you soon in a little orange book. Your Authentic-Self is always with you no matter where you are. When you become conscious of this self, with its unlimited potential, when you look straight at it, you will see that it is looking straight at you. It’s an incredible feeling!

Please comment on what this blog stirs in you, how it makes you feel, what you might want to add that will help others understand what is being revealed here.
Do not feel like you have nothing to contribute – that’s the ‘other self’ (the Counterfeit-Self) having its way with you.

Blessings.

  1. Steve - the snail says:

I refer to myself as ‘Steve-the snail’ when I feel certain I can crawl through life, but that’s it for me – I inevitably prove this certainty is true. How stupid is that?

    • rob says:

I am not sure if you are a regular participant with this blog-site, Steve (and are now using an assumed name to make a point), or if you’re new to the community. I love your awareness of a problem that you present to yourself. It is highly intelligent to study suffering scientifically. You are close to a breakthrough. blessings

  2. Dandy says:

    Hi Rob,
Thanks for naming me best comment of the week. So cool. I love your concept of ROAR. There have been many times in my life where I thought, oh I can’t do this and I can’t do that. My self-talk was so negative I didn’t try at so many things. I like how ROAR breaks down the steps into something much more managable. There is something I’ve been holding myself back on. This has made me feel empowered to go beyond my uncertainties. Thanks Rob!!

    • rob says:

Going beyond one’s uncertainties requires daring, Dandy. Many changes are apparent in the individual when the ‘daring habit’ is established. Thank you for your insightful input.

  3. Dia says:

    Hi Rob,

I love this! For the past two days after I read your comment, I’ve been thinking a lot about what you said. It is important that we program our subconscious mind with what we want to achieve. We have got to believe in ourselves my friend. I can’t wait for your book to comeout Rob, I will be the first one to buy it. Thanks for sharing

    • rob says:

Practice is the answer to anything that seems difficult, Dia, as you know so well. Practice ROAR-ing, and you condition your mind in a way that brings on a renewal of mental activity. Now you can ‘directionalize’ your mind, and have it cooperate with you. Thank you

  4. Rob,
The concept of R.O.A.R. really resonates with me man, and I especially love where you said:

“You are always expressing yourself at the level of achievement that your feeling of certainty allows.”

This rang true with me on a deep level because I’ve had to really work to develop the whole “feeling of certainty” thing over the years….an it does impact the way I express myself.

Great wisdom Rob, and great value. Thanks!

    • rob says:

When we try to receive inner guidance, Jason, we listen without much hope, and then give up in doubt. This is a common human practice when we feel certain that we will not receive the guidance we desire (which most folks feel). This feeling shuts down self-communication (cuts us off from our infinitely intelligent part of ourselves). thank you for your addition to the blog.

  5. Jk Allen says:

    Hi Rob,
I was already sold on what ROAR-ing had to offer. From what I’ve been introduced to thus far, I’ve been patiently waiting the little orange book. Thanks to your blog posts, I’ve already been living some of the benefits of what ROAR-ing has to offer.

In your opening paragraph you said: “…the purpose of ROAR-ing is to feel certain about doing things that take you beyond your current range of accomplishments.” NOW I’M HOOKED.

I know what I’m good at, I know my strengths…I’m confident with those things. But I’m not so confident, always, about what I haven’t experienced. The uncertainty hovers over me, deteriorating my confidence and tricking me to believe that I can’t do it.

I’m ready to R.O.A.R. so I can soar.

    Thank you Rob!

    • rob says:

You will find yourself slipping into rapturous inebriation. Jk, when you effortlessly accept higher feelings of certainty (rather than rehash old feelings). This inebriation carries you to new heights beyond your current standard of achievement, Jk … I call it ‘spiritual sunshine’… it’s where you sow a fabulous new world for yourself, feeling certain you will reap the rewards.
      blessings

  6. Marlee says:

    Hi Rob!
What a great piece to read on an early Sunday morning as I prepare to charge into the week ahead. I’m with JK – your opening paragraph is powerful. So much of realizing your maximum potential in life rests on stepping out in faith and challenging yourself to be bolder. It’s about ROAR-ing! :)

    • rob says:

‘Stepping out in faith’ … NICE, Marlee. Anyone can believe in happenings that she’he has seen take place; right Marlee? The purpose of creative living is ‘to step out in faith’ and conjure up a feeling of certainty about happenings you can envision in your head, but not yet seen with your physical eyes! Thank you

  7. Roger Pascal says:

Hi Rob, This blog stirs me to keep reaching higher and higher. I really see that I was fated to simply get by and retire if I never came upon your conversation. Most of the time I feel ordinary – but every once in a while I feel destined to do something great. I want to keep that feeling of greatness around more often. Can’t wait to ROAR some more.

    • rob says:

ROAR-ing sets up a very dynamic vibration, Roger. It creates an inspiring attitude that takes your life to new heights. You’ve felt certain about limitation, Roger; imagine feeling that same certain way about your ‘unlimitedness’. WOW (Wonderful Obsession Winning … at life)! blessings

  8. Lisa H. says:

I love this article. As a Leo, roaring is somewhat personal to me. :-) However, lately I have been meowing as I contemplate getting out of my comfort zone. This article is timely as I am currently breaking through one of my barriers of fear.

  9. rob says:

I love the metaphor, “I’ve been meowing” … nice contrast, Lisa. Go into life with a ROAR (rather than a meow), and life will support you with whatever you choose to be up to! blessings.

  10. Thanks for the breaking this down so simply, and powerfully Rob. Being in touch with our true selves; out authentic selves is an amazing gift.

I do believe my heart is one of a kind because I know God made me uniquely in order to pursue a purpose and passion that belongs just to me.

    Alex

    • rob says:

INDEED AGREED, Alex – you embody God’s wishes, and if they are to be carried out, t’is up to you … just as a violet in a garden and a horse galloping over a meadow are God’s wishes being expressed. NICE. thank you

  11. Kara says:

Hi Rob, I’m tired of all my wishy-washy feelings. Like, one day I’m super-motivated then the next I’m like “meh…” I just want to have the breakthrough to get me to the next level (a super good job in marketing). I feel like I am on the edge but just can’t seem to get over. My goal is to get to that other side.

    • rob says:

To get to the other side is a lot easier when we don’t take nervousness as necessary, Kara. I sense nervousness in you? It’s not necessary. blessings

  12. Hi Rob! What I get out of this post is the power of our subconscious mind. It is really what sets the stage for what we accomplish. If we can program the right messages, the truth will stay with us. It will eventually find its way out into our work and what we do.

    • rob says:

A quiet mind is ready to receive, Bryan. The subconscious is your power point; it’s where your reservoir of feelings are located. Get to it, and you become a prophet – you can determine what your future will be about and you can depend upon it. thank you

  13. Rus says:

Hey Rob – This is kind of a gut check for me. Am I really ROARING? OR am I inching along. I think it is easy to convince ourselves we really mean it – but then I look back a year and it is kind of the same. Have you ever had that feeling? Some places I have progressed but in other places it is the same. I look at my business and I’m still getting by. I haven’t grown my client list like I’ve wanted so I think I’m missing out on something.

    • rob says:

A ‘gut check’ offers you the pleasure of right feelings when you’re on track, Rus. You feel emotional pleasure when the intuitive part of you tells you that you are on track. that’s because your intuition knows what’s best for you and it can see how you are doing. blessings

  14. Your title made me click Rob – I know you have an acronym for Roar, but just the thought of roaring literally, makes sense to me!

I like this: I have been struck by the truth and am willing to share it with you.
    Share away. I’m listening.
    Lori

    • rob says:

Practice interrupting mechanical thoughts, Lori (we all have them). It’s a spiritual exercise to interrupt them, and it works wonders for you! Turn your attention back on yourself and catch yourself in the middle of thinking – WOW! Now, that’s where your power lies. blessings

  15. J.D. Meier says:

    > Your Authentic-Self is always with you no matter where you are
That’s another reminder to tune and prune ourselves to bring our best out … wherever we go, there we are.

Sometimes bringing out the best, means getting back to the basics, and shedding all the stuff that’s not part of the core.

    • rob says:

Indeed, I agree that wherever we go, there we are, J.D. You have now and always have had the ability to open to the original self, and gain access to the infinite intelligence it possesses … but it is first wholly necessary that you learn how to think (that goes for me, too). blessings

  16. I think absorbing the new self talk takes time. And sometimes our old programming doesn’t want to let up. This is why it pays to be persistent. As long as we are persistent with our new self talk. We WIN BIG!!!

    • rob says:

When we use inward self-talk to make us once again conscious of our creative essence, jonathan, never again are we deceived by the howls of our conditioned mind … and yes, it takes time (but not forever). blessings

  17. John Sherry says:

‘What does your blog stir in you?’, you ask. I would re-word that to ‘how does your personal message that is infused across the whole blog inspire me?’ Rob. To that I would absolutely admit that I have been an iceberg of possibility with so much more hidden and frozen below the surface. You’ve shown and shared that we are all mastery in motion and brilliance in belief and all it takes it to become aware of our own unlimitedness and soulful abundance just waiting to come to life…and of course, roar! For that I thank you.

    • rob says:

‘Mastery in motion and brilliance in belief’ … I hope you are writing a book, John (that’s good)! The time has arrived when we must cast aside all accumulated WOE’s. We are being quickened to a new consciousness, John, and you’re part of the experience. thank you

  18. I want to talk about the first ‘R’ Rob…You know, for some reason society these days doesn’t like people having a belief of their inner genius and greatness. It’s almost as if we’re not allowed to accept our God given gifts and talents anymore….really sad, ya know?

    Thanks for all my friend.

    Marcus

    • rob says:

I can see that the first ‘R’ touched your soul, Marcus. Stay with it, and soon the world-voice will no longer have any influence with you. Put on your flying gear, Marcus, because you are about to soar (and with each ROAR … you soar again). blessings

  19. Frank says:

    Rob,

I don’t know about anyone else but I am ready to ROAR. The very first step in the process has me recognizing the benefits before I have even begun my journey. It is freeing to think of a life without limits and unrealistic expectations. It is freeing to acknowledge that my actions control my fate. It is freeing to have faith in myself to do all things. But I have heard that faith without works is dead. I can’t wait for the opportunity to ROAR. Thank you for sharing this teaser into your masterpiece.

    • rob says:

It is simpler and much easier to make changes in oneself that it is to change the world, Frank. How do we proceed? First, take one’s attention off the entity that I call the Counterfeit-Self. ROAR-ing makes this easy to do. ROAR-ing has you enter into communication with your Authentic-Self (now that’s powerful!). Thank you for your vote of confidence (in you). blessings

  20. John says:

I think you made a big distinction that I never really got before. We can achieve what we are certain of but how do we get beyond that. I know what I’m good at and a lot of people would look at me and think I am doing OK. And I am doing OK but I have bigger things to realize. I think the key is really, really absorbing that Self-Talk until it just overflows from our ears! I don’t how long that is supposed to take, but I do believe if I constantly fill my mind with the right self-talk it begins to show itself in real life.

    • rob says:

Until we make ourselves our complete reality, John, we are not free. And the use of inward self-talk is the way to go with this. You’re onto it! As you know, none of this is about egocentric self-centeredness. blessings

  21. Carol Anne says:

Hello Rob. I can see this book has a solid foundation. I still hold myself back in certain areas. I think what I learned today is it is OK to NOT feel certain – we have to be honest with ourselves. However, we must be certain that we have the capability to be and do wonderful things. For me its about Recognizing that part of me that has been so repressed by life.

    • rob says:

When we are certain, Carol Anne, we are pledging our loyalty to our unlimited nature. When we are uncertain, we are entertaining doubtful thoughts that we learned while encountering 60,000 NO’s during childhood rearing. blessings

  22. Evelyn Lim says:

Hi Rob, thank you for sharing about the breakdown of ROAR!! I had no idea that it meant something more. I enjoyed the explanation. It appears to be the perfect solution for those who are lacking in confidence, would like to step out and align with his or her authentic selves. All the best!

    • rob says:

It is far simpler and much easier to do what we did naturally before getting hit with 60,000 NO’s between the terrible two’s and age six, Evelyn. ROAR-ing is what we have to learn to do once again, if we are to express our infinitely unique nature (please don’t take it casually). I, too, must continually ROAR. There’s more! blessings

  23. Alan007 says:

Hi Rob. I need to stop procrastinating and start ROAR-ing and SOAR-ing myself. I’m starting to terrify myself that I am stuck at “just getting by in life.” After a lot of talk and positive thinking I still feel stuck at being a procrastinator with no prospects of finding a girlfriend. I wrestle with what I know I should do and what I actually do – like most weekends I still drink too much and act stupid and regret it the next day. BUT at the same time I’m doing OK by most standards: good job, new condo a good social life. I feel safe with those things and procrastinate when it comes to really trying to ROAR beyond that. So… I’m looking forward to the book! :)

    • rob says:

Ask yourself a question, and your Counterfeit-Self will answer it, unless you replace it with the original you. ROAR-ing helps you with this task, Alan. Feeling stuck is a result of allowing the Counterfeit-Self to run the show. That’s how you know it is running the show – you feel stuck. The original you never feels stuck (it is superlatively creative and ready to go). blessings

  24. Stuart says:

Rob, I do believe I like ‘ROAR’! Brilliant way to express the fact that we all have power, and we all have the choice to use that power for whatever means.

The first R is so important. If you don’t recognise whole-heartedly that you can accomplish any one single thing in your life, then you won’t be able to fulfill your massive potential. You won’t be able to have a ‘best life’, you’ll just have an unfulfilled life, which will haunt you for the last days of your life.

No-one wants that, so why not realise that we have power to affect our lives wherever we are? Why not embrace our lives for what they truly are, and what they could be, rather than what they could never be?

    • rob says:

Nice input on the ROAR process, Stuart. All Four Vital Steps of the ROAR process are equally important. Vital Step 3 is a matter of absorption – if the ‘heart mind’ doesn’t accept it – Step 1 & Step 2 are mute. “I am all there is,” exclaims the Authentic-Self; we’ve forgotten that (this self was buried under 60,000 NO’s during childhood moments of fear and pain. It is resurrection time blessings

  25. GeorgieBoy 1969 says:

This is interesting, Rob. It seems we all have a level we can reach quite easily and naturally, but if we want to get beyond that we have to do the REAL work of ROAR-ing. I started a law practice and raised a family and I did all this without really considering how or why I was doing it. I was successful at this, but was it living to my full potential? Probably not. I think the real joie de vivre in life is pushing beyond what is expected – that is what I am doing now – and that takes ROAR-ing

    • rob says:

“I think the real joie de vivre in life is pushing beyond what is expected – that is what I am doing now – and that takes ROAR-ing.” I love this statment, Georgie … can I use it? Thank you.

  26. Oh yes we all can roar. And the more we roar the more we realize these sublime truths you outline so well here are who we truly are. Thanks Rob.

    • rob says:

The realization of our unlimitedness surely comes when we recognize the message is from our original nature (that part of us that directed our attention before we got hit with 60,000 NO’s), Christopher. Thank you for your enthusiastic response. blessings

  27. Angry Ramone says:

I need more certainty and security in my life. I used to blame everybody else but now I am seeing it is nobody’s fault but mine. Directing my anger at the world and playing the victim is downward spiral. I’d like to tell everyone not to do as I’ve done. ROARing is about taking responsibility for everything that happens to us. Just knowing this has helped me tremendously.

    • rob says:

Indeed, Ramone, blaming others is so boring. Try exploring your true nature, nothing is more fun! That is what ROAR-ing helps you do. blessings

  28. SaltySailorMan says:

What I like about this is that we naturally do this to get by in life. I can see that I got into college got a job and started a family because I was ROAR-ing about life. If we understand how we did it we can do it again and again for bigger and bigger things. Life will kill ya – If we don’t keep ROARING onto bigger and bigger things the world will get a grip on us and keep us small.

    • rob says:

ROAR-ing onto bigger things, Salty. YES, how else are we to explore more and more of our unlimited potential? Thank you

  29. Hey Rob: Another great one. In terms of what this blog stirs in me, I would have to say there are just those certain things that speak to you and the truth you know deep down. That is what I love about this blog and all the information and insights you share. Great post. I am really looking forward to this little orange book :)

    • rob says:

You are learning to become comfortable with your clumsy efforts to succeed, Sibyl. I get this message from between the lines of your comment. NICE. This is the secret to ‘Oopsing’ forward joyously. Thank you

  30. Richard Roma says:

Hey Rob. That’s quite a system you have got here. I think I could use for sales training. Aside from knowing the business side of things I tell up-and-comers that none of that matters if you are not totally confident. Getting to feel confident takes mental discipline. If people are willing to ROAR before they start “dialing-for-dollars” I guarantee they will experience more success. I wish I had that knowledge when I was starting out… but I want to ROAR about my new endeavors now :)

    • rob says:

What the sales industry needs now (in these trying financial times, Roma), is an incredible ROAR! Great tip. blessings

  31. Alicia says:

I don’t care about acquiring material goods but I want to feel certain that I can help others and let my light shine through. My biggest passion is to help others achieve peace and contentment in this crazy world. I think Recognizing our inner life of thoughts and feelings is the biggest part of achieving peace. When I make this my priority it seems the other pieces fall into place more easily.

    • rob says:

Many folks tell me, Alicia, “I want to change my life but everything seems to be against it.” My advice to them is, “ROAR more.” Thank you

  32. I’m roaring Rob. Oh my that’s a good nickname for you…Roaring Rob! I like what R stands for the best. Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration.

    • rob says:

I like what you stand for, Tess, a state of mind where you never need to prove you are right. What peaceful company you must be! blessings

  33. Magic Marc says:

WHAT UP BrO! This book is going to be DOPE. If it teaches how to make MAD CASH I’m all about it!! That’s something to ROAR about!!!! I’m CERTAIN I’m gonna be a millionaire. I’ve read the SECRET – I recommend it if you haven’t read it yet – I Create vision boards and spend like an hour a day doing affirmations. I don’t know if I believe everything in it yet. Theres something missing – maybe I’m not REALIZING enough stuff yet. ONE THING about me is that I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up so I know I’ll get there no matter what! YOu should call your book the MISSING SECRET!! OHHH SNAP! (you can use that if you want) HOLLA BACK.

  34. Wynton the Sax says:

What about talent? I’ve known musicians that just have that certain “something” that gets them to a genius level with seemingly little effort. Yes, they practice passionately and are consumed with their instrument, but so many others show the same dedication. Maybe they need to ROAR about other areas in their lives… like being a good parent. Yes, I think no matter how good we are at something we can ROAR about other areas that don’t come quite as naturally. I need to ROAR about becoming a marketer for my albums. They just sit in my closet gathering dust.

  35. Joan says:

UGH UGH UGH… I’ve wasted my time!!! :) A bulb went off in my head today! I realized I’ve read tons of self-help books but I don’t think it ever gets “absorbed”. It’s like I read one thing and move on the next, all the while doing the same things I always do. I just have to concentrate instead of jumping around like I have A.D.D. :)
