Last evening’s webinar touched on the awesome vibration that we call ‘FAITH’.
Faith is the ultimate KNOWING STATE, isn’t it?
Nothing feels better than knowing for sure.
In the New Testament, faith is spoken of as ‘a substance’ … What? A substance …. How can that be? Well, I agree! Here is a quote from the New Testament: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for …” Wow, that’s powerful!! That is a whole new way of looking at ‘FAITH’, don’t you think?
Have you ever looked up the origin of the word ‘substance’? Do you know what it really means? It means ‘to stand under’. Faith is a substance. Faith is the pre-existing electromagnetic substance that stands under all that exists.
Take a moment to ponder the above statement. ‘Faith’ is the very substance of all things that exists in your world – it is the very substance of all things that you hope for in your life (all events, all circumstances, all material things).
During the Thurs eve webinar, we looked at the fact that all of us have 100% of all of the faith that we will ever need right now … we simply need to activate that faith in the direction that we want our lives to go.
So, how have you activated your faith so far?
Do you have faith in the idea that ‘life is tough’?
Do you have faith in the opinion that ‘money is difficult to attract’?
OR
Do you have faith in the idea that ‘you are divinely generated and destined to win at whatever you place your faith in’ ??? Wow, that’s a big one. Are you willing to take that on? Is it possible that your world subsists of everything that you have placed your faith in right now?
Let’s look, a moment, at three states of mind: (1) hoping (2) believing (3) faith. (1) Hoping is a watered down version of believing. It’s weak. It assumes there are powers out there greater than our ability to design our own destiny.
(2) Believing is a watered down version of Faith. It causes things to happen, but it has it’s weakness. Believing is based on thinking. If one changes one’s thoughts then beliefs change (and beliefs lose their power).
Why waste any more time ‘hoping’ or ‘believing’? Why not go right to the SOURCE?
(3) Faith is the awesomely powerful state of knowing. It requires no substantiation, no explanation, no rational thinking, no references from the past. It calls upon the interactive forces of creation to shape and form substance. “It is the conviction of things not seen.” – New Testament.
Faith can be seen in simple, daily tasks:
When you turn the ignition key, you have faith that the car will start – don’t you?
When you steer the car toward work, you have faith that you can drive your it safely and effectively to the job site – don’t you? That’s faith !!!
Well, it is high time to have faith in those aspirations and aims that you secretly yearn to experience. You are using faith daily. Why not use it on the good stuff that you dream of being, doing, and having?
Thanks Jk, for having faith in the webinar by co-hosting it with me. You are prosperous in so many ways … and passion is your game!
Thanks Matthew, for your faith in yourself as a supportive person who loves helping friends and family. You proved it with last night’s webinar.
Thanks Liz, for your faith in seeking answers to questions. Yes, as we explored … all ‘mistakes’ become our friendly guides when we consider them ‘miss-takes’ requiring refinement and another re-take!
Thanks Parker, for you faith in your insights and humor. Keeping things light is a great contribution to the game of life.
Thank you Terrence for your faith in giving feedback and being a contribution. Adding to something that is moving toward goodness – what a great way of expressing oneself as a philanthropist!
Thanks Jenny Ann …. wow, you were great! You had the courage to put yourself out there for everyone to learn from. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is folks like you who are such a contribution to humanity. You love the feeling of ‘being a contribution’. I hope you felt it last night – YOU WERE EXACTLY THAT! Have faith in that job that you are looking for, Jenny (even though you do not know what it is) … it is right around the corner
Understand, folks, that we are all vibrating beings, first (you are physical beings with personalities after that). The mind is our channel in which we direct our vibration into physical manifestation. Jesus said, “According to your faith, be it done unto you.” What are you doing with your faith? What is being done unto you … you are doing it to yourself!
How are you directing your vibrational tone? SMILE, AND HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF …. NICE START!!!
This is spiritual stuff that we are exploring. Might I remind you that if it ain’t practical, it ain’t spiritual. You are a spiritual being, living in a pragmatic world that is malleable. You and your faith are the source of what your world becomes. Take that seriously, for your sake!
We will continue with this powerful conversation on next Thurs eve’s webinar at 8:00 EST. I have faith in you …. Do you have faith in you? Sign up here to be added to the list if you haven’t already
Please leave comments on how your faith has worked for you or how you have used your faith to work against you …. Hmmmm.
Blessings

When I have faith, good things just naturally gravitate to me.
When I start losing faith, everything seems to go downhill quickly.
Student: What is the connection between inner strength and a life of beautiful calmness? Teacher: The connection is having FAITH in oneself as a superlative creator. YES, Carolee, when we lose FAITH in ourselves, things do go downhill. Thank you
I agree Rob. We cannot live without faith. Even the most rational of atheists have some faith. Life is filled with uncertainty, and an unpredictable future, that is why faith is so prevalent in our world. Great post!
The state of faith, Steven, is one of authentic and permanent strength, Steven. Lie is filled with uncertainty … AND … with faith in ones ability to design one’s own destiny – life is suddenly filled with a deep sense of certainty. That is worthy of pondering for a moment. blessings
I was there last night, Rob (I was logged on with my Husband, Chris). What fun! We were so entertained and intrigued. I really learned a ton when Jenny came on and found myself asking the same questions… If I didn’t know better I would have thought you planned that for me! We will be back next week… much better than watching “In Treatment” (my favorite show that I had to miss
)
I love your feedback, Carol Anne. YES, you were mingling your mind with Jenny … and that is why it seemed like the session was directed at you. NICE JOB. blessings
Faith is what I hold to when my reasonable mind tells me to give up.
Alex
When we rely on faith to guide us, Alex … we dwell in the light, where there is no occasion for stumbling permanently. Blessings
I’ve been practitioner of hope and believing for the bulk of my life. I’ve had faith (true faith) in very few things.
As I ponder backwards, and think of any great accomplishments I’ve achieved, I can surely see the correlation…those were all areas where I had complete faith in what I was going to achieve. There was no question of what the outcome would be – beyond what I desired. Nobody had the ability to persuade beyond my goal at hand, for I had complete faith that I was going to get what I wanted. It’s funny, I’m thinking back to certain situations where my faith meter was at its peak, and my attitude was so focussed in the right direction, my personality was at it’s most enthusiastic level…basically, the quality of my life was also at a peak.
-
Now understanding this concept of the real meaning behind faith (and hope and belief) it all makes so much more sense. I admit that I struggle a bit with the feeling that I wish it made sense to me sooner. However, all those experiences have shaped me and prepared me for today – is the way I like to see it. Maybe my hunger wouldn’t have the same grumble, my obsession for success wouldn’t be as vibrant if I hadn’t learned what I’ve learned at this time in my life.
-
Now, let me share the other side…the side that once monopolized my life: Hoping and Believing. Because I didn’t have complete faith in various events, I didn’t fulfill…COULDN’T fulfill my desires. Even in situations where I gave my all physically, I contradicted my actions mentally by focusing on the possibility of failure . Meaning, my focus was on failing, and not winning. I attracted failure. Looking back, I can clearly see situations where I ‘tried’ to convince myself that I was faithful – but I was still only at the weakest state of mind: hoping.
-
Today, I know the difference between the 3 states of mind although at an infancy level. AND, I have complete faith that I will achieve goals that I’ve set. I don’t even question the FACT – even though some of the goals are a bit lofty, in comparison to previous goals. I have faith that I will achieve any goal that I set. And I mean it.
-
Rob, thanks for enlightening me and everyone else. I know I have a long ways to go – so I’ll be high alert waiting to capture all that I can. My apology on the extra long comment – as I type, I feel like the expression puts me closer in touch with where I want to be.
Thank you.
Again, Jk. your comment is a precious blog by itself. It offers more clarity to what I have spoken above. Fortune does us neither good nor harm, JK. Good fortune and bad fortune are a matter of what we have faith in (what we truly truly feel we deserve). Being the sole cause and sovereign master of your beautiful and miserable experiences … your faith is ‘the ultimate decider’. The sunlight of truth, Jk, scatters the clouds of darkness (that is happening very quickly for you … isn’t it?) Blessings
Rob,
I have faith that this webinar will grow to be a huge success. I believe there were more people this past Thurs than last weeks. The topics discussed were getting good, to the point where I wished it lasted a bit longer.
Thank-you for putting all of this together,
Looking forward to next time!
-Parker
You ain’t seen nothing yet, Parker Lee … once we get churning in the Thurs eve webinars, you are going to experience ‘consciousness shifting’ unlike anything you can imagine. it is simply a matter of mingling your mind with the right minds (which you are doing). Enlightened men are often called impractical dreamers. Thoreau owned a successful graphite company. Plato was a very successful salesman with a lot of Egyptian customers. John Burroughs was a successful bank examiner. You are one of them, Parker Lee – hang on to your hat! blessings
ha ha right-on! let’s do it to it!
Sorry I had to miss this one Rob. It sounds like it was a great experience for everyone!
YES, Angela, last Thurs eve we got ‘cookin’. I have a gift of being able to helps folks lift themselves out of their ordinary mind and into an elevated perspective of themselves and life (a perspective that can be very enlightening for everyone who is mingling minds at the time). I cannot do it without the cooperation of others, and we are gathering a powerful group of cooperative minds. The more one learns how to handle his psychic world, the easier it gets to handle living. That is what we are up to. Blessing.
Rob,
When I’ve had deep faith in *me*, it’s like nothing is impossible. The first thought that comes to mind is an event I co-organized last summer. It had been something that was completely unplanned. And when I stumbled upon the idea – and completely loved the concept – I had faith that I could do that, to (as much as it also felt like I was putting myself “out there”). And in the matter of about three weeks – I made some very deep and wonderful connections – and we did create a very special experience.
Without that faith, – the first thought is that I would have given up. It’s much more than that, though. With faith, there really was that vibration…a vibration that created an energy out to others, too. And in that – pieces almost magically fell into place (how about that…life works in mysterious and very awesome ways). And I am positive (without a doubt) that faith was so much behind this all so beautifully coming together….
Faith. Thanks Rob, it’s really good to think about this (and let it be even more a part of every day living)…
I can feeeel your comment, Lance. I love it when people give their heart (more than their mind) to a comment; it is such a gift for everyone who reads it. Yes, last summer was a perfect experience of ‘faith in action’ for you. Lance. You described it just enough that I know it is so. In all matters of value – what do you feel is valuable? always put FAITH up there at the top. Blessings.
I love that breakdown Rob. Hoping –> Believing –> Faith. It so true, I know when I have faith in what I’m doing like turning on a light or even doing my morning workout I KNOW 100% that it will be done. It took me a while to build faith in morning workout routine but now it is an automatic. At first it was hoping (like gee I really should workout – but never do.) then it was Believing after I did it a few times – Now I KNOW I will can/do it.
Nice catch, Rus … Yes, ‘HOPE, BELIEVING & FAITH’ are the three big choices of dreaming. What shall it be – will you dream with maybe or will you dream with certainty’? I choose certainty (as do you, Rus), and therefore we value FAITH above the other two. Thank you.
Faith is great word that does not always have to be associated with Religion. The ultimate faith is faith in yourself. There are certain things I have faith I can do but I got there by practicing. Once that faith is in place things get easy. I think the real work is building faith first. When I used to work in the boat yard there were things I had no idea how to do or even where to start. But with practice those once seemingly impossible tasks became as easy as can be.
Indeed, Salty, the ultimate faith is ‘faith in oneself’. An individual shows his character by the faith that he (she) has in ‘self’. NICE. blessings
I have faith in my creative side. I know I’m a good musician. However, I don’t have complete faith that I can make it to the big time as a musician. I be deluding myself if I said I did. I think I’m at the believing stage as far as having a successful career goes. But I will keep going until it is FAITH!
You have faith in your competence, John, but not yet in your worthiness. You are divinely generated and worthy of all that is good and beautiful. HAVE FAITH IN THAT! blessings
I love re-inviting the idea of “faith’ back into my belief system. I’d thrown it out as so much religious marlakey. Thanks for helping me see it in a new light. It’s a substance, not just a religious concept.
YES, Don, faith is a very pragmatic state of mind. YES, it is a spiritual experience … but ‘if it ain’t practical, it ain’t spiritual’! Blessings
Life is great i faith in that. Life sucks i have faith in that. What a great first comic. Faith is the invisible bridge between us and our dreams. If we cast away fear, we can sail across the bridge of success in no time. All we have to do, is believe in ourselves and that we will make it.
INDEED, jonathan, we experience that in which we place our faith If we place our faith in our worrisome thoughts then we experience a worrisome life. If we place our faith in joyful thoughts, we experience a life full of joy. IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO THEE! Nice reminder, jonathan. thank you.
I love the idea of faith as a simple daily tasks. I always thought faith had to be this big high falutin’ idea. I even felt a little guilty because I dont quite have the faith in religion my parents brought me up to believe (those years of CCD didnt quite stick
) I have faith I can get to my job and do great work there… now I need to have faith that I can move up the ladder!
I love it, Kara: FAITH IS A DAILY TASK. Now, that is a marvelous tip. Thanks!
I love the visual of faith as the umbrella (standing under it- sub stance) protecting me from the rain. My challenge is committing (if you need a topic next week ) I do know I can. I study and research and due diligence…and don’t. It’s not big enough, good enough, won’t make enough to be worth my time. Meanwhile…I’m not doing anything beyond mundane. So, if I am ready willing and able…why don’t I? I’ve worked so hard…the winning is waiting for me to commit.
YES, Sylvia, ‘winning is waiting for you to commit’, and the only reason you (or I) don’t commit to doing something is because we lack faith in succeeding (for one reason or another). Nice noticement. blessings
Rob: Great topic and it sounds like you had an amazing webinar. Faith is one of those things that really can change how we live and experience our entire life and it is so important to find our way to it. I think this post does an amazing job of letting us know the importance of having it and pointing us in the right direction. Thanks for all the insights and the wisdom.
What I have found, Sibyl, is that we all want to feeeeel as though we have something worthwhile to contribute to life, but so few have faith in this idea. We are taught to feel unworthy, which stops us from feeeeeling that we have something valuable to give. Ponder this and ask, ‘what does it have to do with me’. hmmm. blessings
Dear Rob, having faith is indeed important and we don’t know it until it happens to us. I remember when my Dad was very ill and in ICU for about a month – One day I just went to the courtyard and put my head down on this bench and just prayed really hard and really seriously – with no intention of doing so but I was just driven to it…..A day or two later, he stabilized and say what they may, I believe my prayers were answered
!
If i might quote ancient script, which can teach us so much (if we are listen willing to listen and learn) … “According to your faith, be it done unto you”
Matthew 9:29. THAT IS WHAT YOU EXPERIENCED ON THAT DAY IN THE COURTYARD. Thank you for ‘the share’. blessings
Hi Rob, I might as well take this chance to offer a moment of gratitude to you! You provide so much here every time I check in… so THANK YOU! I know I have gone through most of my life believing “life is tough, work hard, pay taxes and die” Well, now I am beginning to realize what a stupid thing that is to have faith in. It sounds so ridiculous now! haha. I want to have faith that I am a great Dad and provider for my family.
Wow, I love your paradigm switch, Roger. Indeed, having faith in the beauty of life (as opposed to having faith in the idea of life being tough) … what a gift you give yourself and those around you. blessings
Thank you so very much Rob!
This past week has been such a gift to me in so many ways. Every time I turn around there seems to be a new reason to have faith in what I’m doing! Not a day has gone by without something spurring me on to keep headed in the direction I am in.
Your webinar was the ultimate icing on the cake and I am truly grateful!
Love,
Jenny
Appreciation and gratitude are powerful emotions, Jenny. These two emotions attract the right and perfect circumstances to support you with making your dreams come true. Gratitude are like seeds – they are little tiny drops of energy that do a great deal of good! blessings.
You take such a powerful look at things Rob and this is up there with the best. For me the pinnacle of faith is that it shows up when everything seems to be lost or gone missing. When all around is dark faith is the spark that adds the light that will never go out. It’s a lighthouse to the soul. My faith that all is well and I’m loved beyond and above has kept me from going under and now helping me soar too. One day science may even prove that it exists in real energy terms. It’s alive I tell you!!!
PS Thank you Rob for the gift of your great book. I love dropping by to read and digest your thoughts so to win a book for simple responses to great posts is a true bonus. Heartfelt thanks my friend.
I love the feeeeling that comes with your comment, John. I sense the purity of purpose in your response. You are determined to go swiftly along the mystic path, and this attitude shall propel you! blessings.
Hi Rob,
Each post that you write my friend should be a book by itself. I thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. In regards to faith, it is cruical in life. It is only when we have faith that we will get what we want and desire. Whenever I have strong faith, things come my way a lot easier. Thanks for sharing my friend.
You, Dia, have faith in the knowledge that I share on my blog with you, and ‘it shall set you free’! From what does illuminating knowledge sets us free? it frees us from the ‘false version’ of ourselves that we created in childhood moments of fear and pain. We all have one (a false version of ourselves that stops us from experiencing our unlimitedness). That is part of the human process – pretending that we are limited and finding out that we are not. blessings
Hello Rob – I loved the coughing story from Faith Podcast. I just noticed it last night…powerful example of faith!
Thanks, JK. I’d forgotten my ‘coughing story’ because I’ve rearranged my ‘memory system’ so the wowsome ‘success stories’ show up first when I flip through the pages of my autobiography. Woesome before woesome … that’s my motto. It stops me from running recklessly toward the cliff. Ha Ha. Thank you
Oh cool… I just found the podcast too. That’s good story. I had a similar experience when I always used to have back pain. I finally realized there is no reason a young healthy person should have that kind of back pain and basically made myself get over it!
Nice one, Kara. So you realized that if you were willing to have faith in youthful vitality there was no need for back pain … poof! blessings.
I have lost faith in everything lately. I hope that your blog will jog my memory in the right direction. A friend suggested I try your website for inspiration. I am new.
Please also consider our Thurs eve webinars, Mary. These webinars will help you recover your original essence. when you live from your recovered essence, Mary, the invisible power of faith will well up in inside of you unlike anything you can imagine! blessings
The word Faith always rubs me the wrong way. I always thought faith was for the naive and ignorant (I had a bad expereience with religion growing up.) But I do get what you mean when you talk about self faith. This I like.
YES, Ramone, the word ‘faith’ rubs many folks the wrong way when they think it means to ‘have faith in a power external to ourselves’. The reason it rubs folks the wrong way is because when that ‘power out there’ does not answer their prayers – they feel betrayed. We are talking about ‘faith’ in one’s own capacity to design one’s earthly destiny as he (she) wants it to be. Blessings
Rob,
This is profound, I really like and light bulb moment for me, to see and realize the difference between hoping, believing and faith. Many times I am hoping things, thinking is a belief but it has not been.Sometimes strong faith can be shaken, trying to get that faith back is hard. Do you have tips?
I believe, Zengirl, that strong ‘beliefs’ can be shaken … but, ‘faith’ is unshakable. ‘Faith’ is a ‘deep knowing’ that sees beyond what the world allows our physical eyes to see. ‘Faith’ is the substance that allowed Helen Keller to become a prolific book writer, world traveled famous speaker, and the first deaf/blind person ever to get a B of A degree. If Helen simple believed she could do it – she probably would have been shaken from her belief. If she hoped she could do it, she would never have done it. I hope this helps you. blessings
Rob,
Interesting finding. I should surely look in to difference between belief and faith. Always learning new things keeps me out of trouble!
Preeti
Jeez, sounds like I missed a heckuva a webinar! Faith has worked for me. I like going to church every Sunday. It lifts my spirits and brings my family closer. I think it has instilled values of compassion and charity and love.
Ps. cool podcast BTW… I like your perspective!
YES, faith works wonderfully, Richard, when we use our faith in the right direction. Thank you
Rob – Faith is such a powerful concept. It is an absolute conviction that we feel. It speaks so loudly to everyone it touches. Your calling to help others find this is powerful and I love that. Phil
I believe faith goes beyond conviction, Phil. Conviction is a driving determination combined with persistence. For me, faith is an all-pervasive ‘knowingness’ that ALLOWS changes to occur (and then providence moves too to help you – all sorts of things occur that otherwise never would have occurred). Thank you.
I love to tell of my Indian friend, Anita, from my local post office. Discussing the many Gods of the Hindu religion she picked up a marker and said “this can be a god, anything can be a god. It’s not the god that matters, its’ the faith”.
Indeed, Sylvia, it seems that Anita understands that the cause of every problem in any religion is ‘lack of faith’ in the God that the religion offers. And she knows the solution to every problem = HAVE FAITH IN SOMETHING, FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE!
Nice tip. Thank you
Wow that’s an eye opening perspective, Sylivia. That works perfect because it reinforces that I need to have faith in myself. And if I have faith that carrying around a magic feather will make me successful than it WILL! It all points to having faith that we are in control of our destinies.
Nice response to Sylvia, GeorgieBoy. The more folks mingle minds in the blog, the more insights becomes available for everyone to enjoy. Thank you
Faith is a good thing, Rob. When people abuse it in the name of fear as can sometimes happen with certain religions, then it’s not faith. It’s propaganda. Love how you wrapped up this post: Smile and have faith in yourself. Who would say no to that?
Be well,
Belinda
Nice comment, Belinda. Indeed, having faith in oneself is the key to inner peace and outer happiness (what more can we want?). blessings
