Several of you folks have asked me to take the conversation deeper. Taking the conversation deeper requires elevating one’s consciousness above the usual. Are you ready to dip into the esoteric?
Student: How can I take command of my life?
Teacher: You must be willing to become ONE with all of it.
Student: I’ve heard the idea of ONENESS, but I don’t know what it means.
Teacher: ONENESS is a spiritual term, and it is a very practical way of conducting one’s life. Let me begin by saying that if it ain’t practical, it ain’t spiritual. Good, pragmatic common sense is good spiritual common sense.
By being ONE with everything, you cause no division between you and what’s happening around you. This psychic position ends all conflict. You begin to see the perfection in everything – you no longer resist by insisting that your point of view is the right and only point of view. What happens next is extraordinary… answers just come to you.
When you give up the idea of being a separate self, (with your own precious point of view), you have absolute access to infinite intelligence, the intelligence that commands the interaction of all energy in this ever-expanding cosmos.
1. You find that your hunches are right on target.
2. Your spontaneous responses are right and perfect.
3. Your intuitive urges direct you to the quickest ways to accomplish your aspirations and aims – no matter what they may be:
A. Harmony at home.
B. Money matters.
C. Physical health…
You become the commander of everything when you are willing to become ONE with everything. This is because you no longer feel the need to take control… guess what?… in that instant you are in control! The rational mind will never grasp this truth. Trust it is true.
One example of ONENESS working for me in my lifetime: when I decided to attract a lot of money into my life (so I could be financially independent and travel the world to exotic places), I decided to have an absolutely harmonious relationship with money; I would no longer allow money matters to disturb me. Within a year things began to flow and money began to flow to me. (Yes, it took me a year to become ONE with money – I’m stubborn).
1. My business choices were right on target.
2. My stock market picks brought me great gains.
3. My investments with partners all proved lucrative.
I loved money and money loved me (still so, today). I did not love the pieces of paper with pictures of notables on it – I loved the benefits that I could bring to myself and others in the world with money.
Well, I have handed you a ‘mindful’ of information… please ponder this. What have you allowed yourself to become ONE with (in your environment) – and it has proven to be a rewarding enterprise?
1. Your tomato garden? (which now has an extraordinary tomatoes hanging off the vines.)
2. Your pet? (which has taught you unconditional love.)
3. Your lover? (who you now have incredibly romantic evenings and great sex with.)
4. Your business? (that has grown tenfold in two short years.)
5. The traffic light? (which always turns green when you approach.)
P.S. Don’t be shy to buy my book, 180 – you’ll be startled awake.
P.P.S. We have started a new “Best Comments of the Week” feature on our homepage. Our way of saying thank you for all of your contributions that enhance this blog and enrich our readers.

Hey Rob,
I had to laugh when I came across this line –> “I love money and money loves me”. What a coincidence because I write this daily in my goals book so that I attract money (and the resulting freedom it buys) into my life. I totally agree that you have to be one and not fight that with what you want. Going with the flow makes life a lot more easy. Often resistence only hurts yourself.
Very thought-provoking article this morning and I enjoyed reading it.
Karen
Thanks, Karen, I am glad you can see the simplicity, clarity and humor in the statement – ‘I love money and money loves me’. You can expect prosperity as an ongoing experience in your life, Karen . blessings
You are really good at making what seems difficult to undersatnd, incredibly easy to read. That is one of your geniuses, rob.
Hi Rob,
I believe I’m one with everything and everyone. The problem is I don’t seem to live in this state all of the time.
Hi Tess, might I say that we experience what we believe. If you ‘sometimes’ believe that yo are ONE with everything and everyone … then you ‘sometimes’ believe you are ONE with all of it. The question is – how often to do you believe it and in what domains of life do you believe it (family, financially, socially, etc? I, personally, have a way to go. I wish I believed it all of the time in all domains of life, but it just ‘ain’t so’ for me. The good news is that sometimes I do believe it for a whole day at a time.
I would love to hear more about becoming one with money.
However, I worry greatly that we are missing something incredibly important when we believe that money and what it buys is what we need to have peace and happiness. Especially when our over-consumption is doing so much to both the earth and it’s people.
I struggle with how to reconcile these two truths so that I attract enough into my life to be secure and healthy, and also to have more to contribute, but that I am not taking more than my fair share of the Earth’s resources.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
That’s a big one, Jenny (your inquiry about money and over-consumption). My ‘loving money’ and money ‘loving me’ is using money in ways to (1)conserve natural energy (2) to save the planet from our plastic production (3) tp clean the polluted environment (4) as a means educate folks so we put an end to the over-consumption of the planet’s natural resources, and (5) to educate rather than foolishly spend. That’s what I love most about money. Thank you for your inquiry, Jenny. Blessings.
Thank you Rob!
!I have certainly thought about how I could use money to make even more responsible choices. (I dream of buying myself a house and then lifting it to add geo-thermal heating before I even move in!)
Yes, I can love that about money too
As I am seriously considering how I could have a career doing all of what you mentioned above, I now understand a new way to think about it.
Blessings back to you. I’ll let you know how it goes!
I love this post, rob, especially when you explain that you are talking about money as a means to better the planet; not just to fill our pockets and spend extravagantly.
You cannot worship God and mammon, too – John. God is circulation for the betterment of all concerned (including the planet). Mammon is greed and selfish self-fulfillment. To ‘worship’ is to give your full adoring attention to something.
Rob, this is perhaps the clearest explanation of finding ease with living I’ve yet seen. Call it Law of Attraction or any other name of the day, you’ve explained so simply how we create whatever kind of life we want, all the ways to be, things to have, what to do… Your lesson is applicable across the board. I love how you’ve laid it out, here. ~Julie
Thank you, Julie. I appreciate that you are beginning to understand the simplicity of it all. Yes, there really is a flow to everything (and the flow is everywhere you go). It requires non-resistance … which does not mean you cannot want to change things; it means that you look for the perfection in how it is right now (given your choices of thoughts, words and behavior in the past). Now, you can do something to cause changes because you are taking responsibility for your part in the creations. Correction is available when we take cussing and blaming off the table.
I agree with it all. I love making and spending money. The freedom of traveling is the greatest thing I use money for.
P.S. I already have the book and it is has been awesome
Thank you, Carol Anne, you have been a wonderful student. I have learned a lot from our interactions.
Being ONE with my boyfriend can sometimes be testy. I get that it is the ‘testy’ attitude that I sometimes have that makes it ‘testy’. I like how you say this in this blog. I can be resistant and push myself out of flow with matters that I dislike. BY THE WAY: I purchased your book about two months ago. I am on Day 41 and I have liked the tips it gives me. I like the way it uplifts my attitude – drip, drip, drip – one day at a time (like you said). I have learned a lot about myself from taking the 180 adventure so far.
Yes, Kara, it is with matters that we find distasteful that we resist, and no longer float along, but begin paddling against the current of life. Thank you for your personal noticement
Hi Rob,
Thanks for this series on money. I am finding it very enlightening and helpful.
My experience is that being one with everything is not a belief – it is the direct experience of what is true. When all beliefs are examined, they are seen to be false. They are a construction about reality – they are not reality itself. When we say “one with everything,” we are not referring to forms, e.g., I am one with a chair or another person.
When all forms are examined directly through to the root, the apparent “forms” are seen to be just ideas. There is, in reality, no such thing as a chair – or a person, or money. When these ideas, which make us believe we are separate, are seen clearly, what is revealed is formless Reality, which is clear, loving, vast, peaceful, and doesn’t have a problem with money or any other form.
Except in the most enlightened masters, our attention seems to wander in and out of this true understanding of formless reality. This is not a problem. Our job is to see what takes us away – thought patterns, emotions – and study these to their root. We will arrive back at formless reality, oneness, every time.
Well spoken, Gail. It is ‘walking our talk’ in the physical realm that becomes a challenge. Einstein said that he had to believe in physical science before he could believe in a ‘shower of cosmic particles from the heavens’ (he was referring to life-force energy). His use of the word ‘believe’ is ‘the knowing’ that we seek when we are willing to give up our worldly opinions for higher consciousness. It seems this is your choice. blessings.
I finished the 180 program about two months ago, and I know it helped my attitude (which boosted my life) in my family relationships and my business interactions. I wish you’d brought this idea of ONENESS up in that program. ONENESS intrigues me. Will it be in a future book?
Hi Rob,
I have been having a problem coming to your site earlier, does any one else? However, I am glad I am here now.
I need to work on this issue very well so as money and I have no relationship. Money and I are not one-ness right now. I agree with spiritual aspects of it. More reasons to read 180 for me!
Hi preeti, thank you for telling me abut your difficulty getting on the website and your difficulty with money. I an having the website difficulty looked into. Let’s look into your money relationship difficulty: It is hard to believe, but usually difficult money relationships (which 98% of the folks in the world have), are a consequence of feelings of unworthy of some nature and to some degree. Boy, do I remember! The problem is that the ‘sense of unworthiness’ can be subconscious (hiding behind your back). We will get into this matter with later blogs around money. blessings
Rob,
I do not feel “unworthy” of money, I simply do not think money is the answer to everything, yes enough to survive and some for emergency and fun! I want to be wealthy and not rich! there is a difference you know.
Hi Preeti, Please do not feel offended when I speak of ‘unworhtiness’. T’is a delicate subject (of which nearly everyone suffers). I do not know what you feel worhty of and what you feel unworthy of ( and perhaps you do not suffer from this psychic affliction at all – which makes you a very rare individual). I have found that the insanity of humanity is that nearly everyone feels unworthy for one reason or another (the whole ‘born with orignal sin’ thing) and money is a great magnifier of this psychic problem.
Rob, thanks for sharing this post. It’s interesting how your life changed once you embraced this concept. I’m working on the Rule of 100 (Repeating Helpful Affirmations 100 times per day) to get this principle worked into my life.
Hmmm, Steve, the Rule of 100. I wonder who made that rule? I thought it was the Rule of 101 (ha ha). I understand that you are disciplining your mind by exercising your will-power. The power of ‘will’ is like a muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets. When you consciously speak a ‘chosen thought’ over and over again – it becomes a thought-habit. GREAT START.
Hi Rob,
I definitely think having money to do what you want and to help others is a wonderful thing. I’m not opposed to money in the least. I always have the money to do what I want and need in my life. And, money sometimes comes to me in the most miraculous ways too. It’s amazing. I don’t worry about money. To me having money means freedom. I
YES, Angela, money can be a wonderful tool to use when expressing our freedom. Money can also throw so many billions of beautiful human beings in psychic prison. Money is a delicate subject that can step on a lot of ego’s toes. I hesitate to speak of it with rigorous honesty because it can stir up quite a hornets nest of psychic energy amongst those who participate in the conversation. Thank you for your contribution.
Hi Rob,
I never seriously thought too much about money or felt it was all consuming and important. However, my conceptions concerning this issue has stood in my way of success. It seems all too relaxed to buy into the proposal that I want the things money cannot buy. Primarily, that is what life is all about to me, and it is satisfying. I do now fully realize though that money is something that plays a major role on our lives, so my outlook is improved.
Wow, that takes courage to say this, Sandra. A lot of folks will say money isn’t important because they refuse to face the fact that they feel either inadequate or unworthy of attracting and handling a lot of money. I know. I have been there. Money certainly is at the bottom of the ‘great riches of life’. There are so many things (invisible things) that are so much more valuable when experiencing the true riches of life (compassion, love, flow, generosity, harmony, peace of mind etc). But, money is clearly a bit part of human living and it cannot be ignored. blessings
A very interesting example with the money & oneness Rob. Recently I heard an interesting sentence: “All the money starts in your head” – this thought is developing in my head… The idea of “oneness” is a convenient add-on to that sentence… I’ll let your post to become a little more developed in my head.
It all begins in consciousness – Marko. Thank you for bringing that up. Indeed, if we are able to perceive it, clearly envision it, and if we feel worthy of receiving it – then the electromagnetic Force of Harmonious Attraction shall kick into action and deliver it. NO MATTER WHAT THAT ‘IT’ MAY BE!
Money is a big one with me. I have a ‘hate relationship’ with money. I guess it is a projection of my own occasional subconscious ‘hate relationship’ that I set up with myself. I have gained great grounds with resolving this issue with myself – but it is not over yet.
the idea of oneness is difficult to grasp when we clearly can see with our five senses that we are separate from everything else physically. I understand it but don’t get it. Thanks for trying to explain it. I still don’t get it.
Rob: Great post and what a great real world example of becoming ONE with things. I really like that insight and it is so true that as soon as we figure out how to really become ONE with something, everything just falls into place. I think that is really what is all about … figuring out really how to live in a way that allows you to open yourself to all the great things life has to offer. Thanks for the great story and insights.
Thank you, Sibyl, for recognizing that if it isn’t applicable to real life, then it is just a lot of hot air. We are living on planet earth (a realm of polarity – where opposites meet). We came here to create lives that give us incredible experience of the ‘upbeat’ (not the ‘downbeat’). So let’s go for it. Let’s have a ball in a wonderfully supportive way (that doesn’t mean we have to strip the planet of its resources in the process).
Money is a mindset. We cannot seek it out like a diaper with a rash. But must understand that we deserve such a great thing. Money is just like oxygen we need it. It’s the way we exchange good and services. Back in the days it was, I’ll clean your house if you can do my laundry. Now we have a system for credit etc. So the point is to understand the realization that money is very important, but its not everything. But its very important.
Good job, speaking your mind, jonathanfigaro. Yes, money is an intricate part of our lives, so stop rejecting it. That does not mean we have to idolize money, but it does mean that it is part of the system (and it is here to stay), so why not create a friendly relationship with it. You did a great job speaking this message in your own way.
Rob -
Right on, amigo. Letting go of the self and being at one with the universe – the simplest way to be and one of the toughest assignments out there at the same time. I’m finding that more and more of the time I’m in the flow with the world around me and it rules. Still getting there on the money one, although that is changing as I think of abundance instead. Great post sir!
Phil
Thank you phil, for your wonderful contribution. I love your statement that it is a ‘tough assignement’ to be ONE with all of it. That’s an oxymoron – a marvelous example of the truth in action. Yes, it is difficult to make our lives easy and be in flow!… and money is one of our biggest challenges with that aspiration.
Not that deep for me Rob, it resonated well within. Great tip that the ONE thing to do to activate financial mastery is to master the concept of ONENESS. I have had one thing bothering me over the years…..that I had to deserve money. And as I hadn’t done anything of perceived note, money didn’t show up. So that’s now firmly laid to rest thanks to this post. I KNOW money is flowing to me now as my birthright as its an energy exchange. After all we do call it currency!!
Yes, John, we must ACTUALIZE our ideals in order to make them real. I see you get that in this response that you’ve given. To activate financial mastery does require grasping and realizing ONENESS with money. Money is part of the Circulation Game (which the entire ever-expanding cosmos is joyfully playing). The whole “worthy of riches’ conversation is a big one that so many human being get lost in. We all deserve to enjoy life’s myriad riches (be they material or ethereal). Blessings and thank you for your honesty.
Really insightful post Rob!
Awesome, I was going to ask if you always write like this (yes I know, I should have visited a long time ago – sorry
) but then I noticed the URL and thought…hmmm, probably
!!
Thanks for the read, really enjoyed it, actually I enjoyedthe comments more!
Just goes to show how well you engage with your readers, and not just within the post itself!
To add my point: I still see money as a bad thing to strive for, but I think reading this and seeing what you and Karen Ruby had to add made me realise this is my biggest problem
THANKS
We’re all ‘minds mingling’ on this website, Alex … you, too!. Thank you for becoming a conscious and contributing part of the conversation. You offer gain to all of us with your insights and opinions.
What a great re mind ing. I have had such struggles with my relationship with money and I realized as I read…I don’t really think of it much at all now. I put in a claim to get past a “loss or grievance” and I go on with my work of loving and growing. I had decided some time ago that enough wasn’t and I wanted plenty. I feel easy now with money and know that where I go on my adventure the money will be available. Thank you for sharing these simple ideas that work. The rules of my parents I followed with suffering determination and struggling results came slow. These rules of living work so easily and life flows with blessings. I had told my kids life isn’t fair…now I tell them life is perfectly fair…I just was following the wrong set of rules. I do love money AND MONEY LOVES ME!!
Yes, Yes, Yes…
Geez, Sylvia … I love how you restated what we are talking about. Yes, parents teach us how to treat money and how they beleive money threats them. Unfortunately, our parents may well have been confused about the whole money matter (circulation matter) as are most folks. Nice comment. Thank you.
Hi Rob, I definitely agree that turmoil results from being separate from, as opposed to one with the universe. I smiled when I saw that you put “but it’s not just about money” in parentheses, because I’m learning that a lot of the same rules apply to many things (love, compassion, kindness, and yes, money, too). Often, our biggest obstruction is our attitude toward whatever it is we’d like to attract more of.
Indeed, Belinda, of what we speak applies to all of life … and as long as money is in our lives, it is ‘part of all of life’, and there is no denying it … so why try? Money is good if you use it for good and money is bad if you use it for bad. That pretty much applies to everything (maybe).
Hi Rob,
Each article you write is a piece of art my friend. I am catching up on your older articles now. The best thing we can do is to create harmonious relationship with everything we desire including money. The more love we give to a relationship, the better it is.
YES, Dia, the more love we give to anything (including money), the easier it gets in life. ‘I love money and money loves me’ – not for money’s sake .. but for all the good things I can do with it for the planet, and for all the good things I can do with it for others.
Rob, I just returned from visiting my childhood friend who seriously believes in the law of attraction and her approach was similar to what you lay out here today but your articulation is very clear and pragmatic. I must say, I do not believe in the law of attraction so I must take a leap of faith and try it – And I do love your book and one of these days, I shall finish it and write up a review. Thanks for being so patient…..!!!
What you do believe in, Farnoosh, is yourself. I have noticed that about you. There is nothing more important than self-trust. Believe in yourself, and believe that you deserve the best .. and YOU are the ‘Electromagnetic Force of Harmonious Attraction’ in action. What you radiate outwardly (energetically), collects and gathers like kind energy for your to experience (like a Cosmic Bomerang). Blessings.
Rob, beautiful response and thank you for noticing that – it gives me great enthusiasm to pursue law of attraction in my life. Thank you!
Hi Rob, very interesting take on money. I am not yet comfortable with the idea of acquiring money, and I really like the way you have described it. I think I can apply this type of mindset to my relationship with money. Maybe it’s just my love for garden and nature metaphors =P Also, love the drawings in your posts. Have a great week!
