wake up to a new you

It seems you take on many roles to get through your day. You represent yourself one way when with the family, quite another way at work, and a third way with your friends at the movies. We barely hold onto one SELF for long that a situation pops up and we find another SELF taking control of our reactions.

“To be or not to be” is a fabulous contemplation. Who is the SELF you awaken to? If you had a choice, what would the qualities and tendencies of that SELF be? What mood and attitude would it offer you? Is it one that is joyously thriving or barely surviving? The version of yourself you awaken to, is entirely up to you.

It takes an awakened mind to dare ask, “Who am I being right now? You are always experiencing who you create yourself to be. No one can do this for you. If it is to be, it is up to thee! All habits can be broken. You can replace them with something new, and that includes any version of you that is not pleasing you. Your immutable right to control your mind guarantees this.

If you do not like the SELF you have been awakening to, perhaps it is time to create a new version of you? Imagine making it a habit to be someone you enjoy being, someone you trust, someone you love representing you in the world?
