think the unthinkable

If your life is not showing up as you want it to be, it is time to experiment in your mental laboratory. Begin by assigning inspiring purposes to your daily challenges and problems. When you assign a new purpose to anything, you give it new value. This creates space for you to see it from an entirely new perspective. Renew the contents of your mind by coming up with new reasons for what you do, and you soon find the outer conditions of life begin changing, too. Everything begins looking differently for you.

In moments when things aren’t working out, take the time to give the situation an empowering meaning. Pushing will only beget pushing back. What you resist, shall persist. That kind of mental toughness does you a great disservice.

It requires an open mind to make a 180 — an about-face from a negative attitude to a positive one. It requires setting up a new relationship with the moment. Dare to ask, “How can I use this situation so it prospers me?” Ask, earnestly seeking, and you shall find!

Renewing your mind requires thinking that which you have not thought before. It requires thinking the unthinkable. Dare to think thoughts beyond the familiar, and your mind soars to new heights. A well-groomed mind is forever being weeded of limiting thoughts and reseeded with encouraging ones. These are the seeds from which all growth and development springs forth.
